“Women don’t want to do kickboxing”. Even though she’s usually right, for once I’m glad I didn’t listen to the missus when she said this over 20 years ago.
I did it anyway and 3 months later we couldn’t squeeze the 50 women into our school and it was the catalyst for moving to our existing larger full-time premises.
Since then we have had thousands of women train with us at Bulldog Gym.
Why?
When you train regularly in Thai Boxing, you don’t need any other workout.
- Thai Boxing is a dynamic workout that uses the whole body. Our lessons are mixed up with technique, strength, and core work and because you are punching and kicking your heart rate definitely goes up. So, muscle toning, weight loss, endurance, strength, determination, and motivation are all outcomes.
- Thai Boxing is a practical and effective self defence system. We have had several stories at Bulldog Gym where our students have been able to defend themselves in a threatening situation. Nothing makes me happier than to know we have helped someone help themselves in this way.
- You can get started at any level of fitness – it does not matter what size, shape or fitness level you are, the workout can be adapted to suit you.
- We provide a very casual, friendly environment where you feel comfortable to turn up as you are
- Our classes are fun and varied.
Your first lesson is free, and you will get one on one attention from a teacher to learn the basic moves of Thai kickboxing.
If you have bag gloves bring them along, otherwise we will help you out for the first session. Wear shorts/leggings/tracksuit, t-shirt and bring a towel.
